Two or four transducer kits are suited to boats from 10 metres or 30'  to 20 metres or 70'.  Larger boats or boats with greater under water areas can have multiple kits & transducers.

The CleanaHull Ultrasonic Antifouling protection system utilises industry leading technology and the latest in-house developed transducer technology. By emitting multiple very specific frequency bursts through a vast range of frequencies the system protects the hull from algal growth and barnacles

The Ultrasonic sound waves emitted through the hull create a environment of microscopic cavitation bubbles. These bubbles cause a very unique environment  in the immediate vicinity of the hull when the microscopic bubbles implode, splitting the sidewall of single cell microscopic organisms such as algae. The cavitation has the added benefit of a scrubbing effect helping keep the hull clean. The removal of the initial algae growth inhibits the food chain for further growth of barnacles and other marine life that feed on the algae, effectively producing an environment that is inhabitable by algae and barnacles.

Suitable for all types of hull materials except wood.

Control Unit:

CleanAHull Advanced Ultrasonic Antifouling system is the result of over 10 years of development in Ultrasonic Antifouling technology.

Self calibrating system including our !BLAST! function.

The CleanAHull marine growth prevention system(MGPS) outputs thousands of very specific frequencies via specially created algorithms. Our frequencies have been developed to damage or destroy various algae and bio fouling organisms for maximum protection. CleanAHull uses an advanced digital system to output precise frequencies thousands of times every second via the advanced CleanAHull Transducers.

The CleanAHull Ultrasonic Antifouling system is a zero configuration device. It will automatically calibrate at regular intervals to ensure the best protection. CleanAHull is a set and forget device.
CleanAHull Ultrasonic Antifouling Systems automatically optimise for maximum protection, reading many internal sensors to adjust operation. CleanAHull will run directly from your 12VDC or 24VDC battery source, with no need to worry about power supplies or connecting high voltage AC in your boat.

Built in cooling and temperature monitoring will increase the life expectancy of the CleanAHull electronics.
Detailed information is shown on the LCD panel and the Multi coloured LED display outputs the status of the device for easy viewing.

CleanAHull provides excellent protection, only consuming ~250-300mA per transducer on average.
The CleanAHull Ultrasonic Antifouling system is designed and developed in Australia using quality components, including gold plated circuit boards and the best components available.

All CleanAHull systems are independently tested and certified to FCC, RCM, C-Tick and CE by a NADA approved test agency for your added assurance.

Technical Understanding:

The systemsuse variable acoustic cavitation at a microscopic level through the ultrasound frequency range, typically between 20-200kHz.

Acoustic cavitation (Ultrasonication) is produced by ultrasonic sound waves in a liquid due to pressure variations.
Sound waves propagate into the liquid resulting in an alternating high-pressure(compression) and low-pressure (rarefaction) cycles. During rarefaction, high-intensity sonic waves create small vacuum bubbles or voids within the liquid. These bubbles then collapse violently (cavitation) during the compression phase of the sound wave creating very high local pressure and temperature at a microscopic level. As the frequency used is between 20-200kHz the rate of these bubble implosions is at 20,000 – 200,000 times per second and each sound wave producing potentially millions of bubbles.

The high compressibility of the imploding bubble means that much potential energy is released from the ultrasonication. This release of energy has some very important properties.

  • Disrupts or destroys microscopic algae and microorganisms, providing a sterilising affect. Barnacles use algae as a food source.

  • Provides a microscopic scrubbing which can break down solids allowing for cleaning and maintenance of internal structures.

Components of a System:

CleanAHull Control Module

The Central Brains of the system, provides power to the Transducers. The CleanAHull system provides live status on the built in LCD display. (Four transducer system shown)

CleanAHull Transducer 50W Peak

In-House developed transducer for vastly improved output. The Transducers are installed in strategic locations on the inside of the hull and drive the Ultrasonic Output Into the hull.

CleanAHull Transducer Mounting Footprint

The CleanAHull system comes with these helpful mounting footprints, these footprints provide a simple mounting proceedure and servicable transducers. Alternatively Transducers can be installed by bonding directly in place.

JB Weld Epoxy Adhesive

JB-Weld Epoxy is the perfect bonding agent for the hull, works well with GPR, Aluminium and Steel! The JB Weld provides the best bond for ultimate transference of the Ultrasonic Signal.

Loctite
Loctite 515 Cyanoacrylate provides the perfect medium for transference of the Ultrasonic Signal through into the Footprint. To be used between the footprint and the Transducer if the Footprint is used.
Fuse Holder

We Provide the In-Line fuse to make installation simpler. This can be used where required. We also provide the appropriate fuse to go into this holder.
