This Chrysler 318 engine head exhaust port shows
extensive corrosion caused by the unequal cooling of both the engine head and
manifold. Moisture formed on the inside of the exhaust port. This damage
occurred over a three months period.

Inside of matching manifold inlet shows extensive
chemical corrosion. This corrosion was found on all the manifold inlets. In
several spots, the corrosion had eaten through the manifold's piping. This
manifold was six months old.
