This remote control solenoid allows you to wire directly
from the battery to the winch. The sealed solenoid unit is placed near the
winch and two small cables go to a Up/Down switch on your dashboard.
Additional Up/Down switches can also be installed for use on a flybridge boat.
Using a solenoid reduces the cable run between the battery and the winch.
Less cable means less voltage drop. It can also make installation much
easier.
Again, the main benefits are:
Less power loss thru a shorter cable run to the battery.
Not having a large wire going to the dashboard and hence a convoluted wire run
up to the winch.
Easier installation and shorter large cable runs.

The standard shipping rate is $20 for all
winches plus $5 fixed fee for winch covers and between $7 and $12 fixed fee for
multiple metres of 75amp cable. If you are in a remote area this might be
increased slightly to cover costs. Freight costs to New Zealand are between $85
and $110 for a winch. 75amp cable cannot be supplied to New Zealand due to
weight.
