Stella Water Maker and Boat Desalinator- Australian Made

Proudly designed and manufactured in Australia. The reverse osmosis desalination plant will utilise a high pressure direct drive pump (no belts) with a 240VAC, single phase electric motor.   Low amp, DC and engine driven options available.

The major components will be assembled in modular form to best utilise your available space. These quality components are industry standard and many of them are available worldwide. Stella keeps circuit boards, complex controls and flashing lights off their products, to provide the most reliable and easy to use watermaker available today.

Electric 240VAC: Always the first option, easy installation and makes lots of water fast. You will need a minimum 3kva (continuously rated) genset to run our 240VAC electric unit. Output is 70, 140 or 210 litres per hour of water using 1, 2 or 3 standard membranes. Power usage (boost pump and HP pump) is approx. 12amps when running (without start-up load). An optional soft starter is available if required for smaller gensets.

Engine Driven: Second option if you don't have a genset. It's a very efficient and reliable way of making plenty of water very quickly. You will need a suitable engine with room to fit an engine bracket and pulley system. We have some standard brackets available or custom fabrication is required. Output is 70, 140 or 210 litres per hour of water using 1, 2 or 3 standard membranes. Power usage is approx. 2HP draw from engine.

DC Option:  40amps draw and 35 litres prer hour.

The watermarkers  are all modular (separate components not a large framed box) so can be fitted wherever there is available space and use no electronics, just simple control valves.

Basic Specifications:  In general the system when using pre-filtered sea water to a membrane array (1-3 membranes) that will produce a nominal 70 - 210 litres of potable water per hour from sea water (1680 - 5040 LPD) at 25 degrees C and a salinity of 35,000ppm, at an operating pressure of 800 - 850psi.
