Telephone, Fax,
Data Boosters & Systems
This wireless telephone system
is for internet, broadband and voice through one box! With any number of users!
We have sold many of these
systems to Italy, Malta, Western Australia, and fishing boats and private
vessels... so we know it works.
This means you can attach three
normal telephones or even a cordless phone system base station AND you can have
any number of laptops connected using WiFi. If you add a long range antenna you
may well improve the communications for telephone and data.
Outside of Australia you can
include a signal booster to provide optimum range and signal quality.
Mining sites and remote
locations can now have a quality multi-user telephone system AND multi-user
internet access. Boats can offer wireless internet and cordless phones to both
crew and customers on board without even running any wires. Calls can be
received at any extension on a normal mobile "telephone" number. This is the
same for mining sites.
The system is suitable for
Optus, Vodaphone and Telstra services, however a Telstra Next G service will
provide the greatest range and coverage in remote areas.
You can even connect a network
printer to the unit.
Works with any SIM
Card. GSM, CDMA, 3G &

Scenario1:
You have a large charter boat
operating along the coast and wish to place a standard telephone in each of the
guest cabins. Guests will be able to make telephone calls like they do at
home. The boat will be able to send and receive faxes. Kids can use the
internet.
Scenario 2:
You have a cruiser going between
the various Whitsunday Islands. You wish to have a standard phone on the
enclosed flybridge, in the master cabin and also in your "on board" office. The
inboard office needs fax and an economical full time broadband internet
connection. Its possible you will travel up to 100miles from land.
Scenario 3:
Any of the above for a remote land getaway house or mining site where installing
a landline is impractical. Multiple extensions and multiple WiFi connections to
the internet are possible.
What Marine Direct Offers:
Marine Direct markets the
telephone system box and two optional high gain long distance antennas. The
system can easily be installed by the user and is plug and play. Companies such
as Optus, Vodaphone and Telstra market mobile telephone and data plans suitable
for these products. It will work with any SIM card anywhere in the world where
there is a service available.

System Overview:
The system is actually a small
box with an integrated antenna, USB Port and standard telephone extension port.
Also inside the system box is the electronics of an independent mobile
telephone. All systems are capable of providing mobile telephone, fax and
untimed data communications depending on the service provider which includes
Telstra, Optus, Vodaphone and 3.
Normal household telephone
handsets are connected to the system box allowing a boat (or other location) to
be equipped with several normal telephones throughout. Just as you have
telephone extensions in your home, you can now have telephone extensions
throughout your boat.
This system will work
WORLDWIDE!
In operation, the user simply
lifts a normal telephone handset, listens for the dial tone and dials the
number. Incoming calls are announced like a normal ringing household
telephone.
The user can plug their laptop
into the system box data port (or an extension cable leading to the data port on
the system box) to make untimed and/or unlimited download data calls. PC Fax or
normal fax machines can also be connected to the system box.
It is important to understand
that the system box can be remotely located and standard telephone extension
cables are run to it. Its is essentially exactly the same in wiring connections
as a normal household telephone system. Telephone cable is run to the various
telephone extensions. Think of the telephone system as being similar to the
Telstra junction box on the side of your house.
The maximum distance for a GSM
service is limited by the telco exchange to 35km. Choose a 3G or Next G service
for greater range.
An optional 5db or 9db high
gain antenna is available for and will increase the range. This antenna is
suitable for domestic applications too. For operations outside of Australian
waters, a signal booster is available.*
In summary, this system box
allows boat (and other) users the flexibility to have full time inexpensive
business or private telephone communications operating on their boat, from
multiple handsets up to 100km from the nearest base station.
In many cases these systems
can reduce the continuous requirement for expensive satellite communications.
* Signal boosters are an EXPORT
ONLY item.
